Dr. Elena Johnston's philosophy of care centers on prevention, education and elevating everyday routines into meaningful rituals. She believes that oral health is deeply connected to overall wellness, and her goal as a dentist is to help patients care for their smiles in a way that feels thoughtful, personalized and sustainable by combining clinical skills with calm, function and design-led experiences that support long-term health.

Dr. Johnston completed her undergraduate studies at New York University before attending dental school at the University of Pittsburgh, graduating with her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2017, and completed her general practice residency in Brooklyn. She continues her education regularly to stay at the forefront of the dental field, and her advanced training includes a number of restorative and cosmetic courses, including BOTOX® for therapeutic care, hyaluronic fillers for intraoral needs, dental veneers, Invisalign® clear aligners and traditional orthodontics. She has also taken a number of courses in areas that she does not currently practice, such as implants and surgical procedures, in order to learn how to manage these types of treatments and assist her patients in planning their care.

Dr. Johnston is environmentally conscious with the products she uses and gives out. All patient kits are BPA-free, made from recycled paper, and the floss contains no Teflon (so no microplastics). Everything is compostable, and she purchases only cements, flowable and other materials that are holistic in nature. Additionally, she works with labs that only use metal-free materials such as porcelain. This helps ensure that each treatment and product Dr. Johnston provides promotes your oral and overall wellbeing both immediately and long-term.

Dr. Johnston is the founder of a new dental product line named Akla, which will be released in Spring 2026. While her current hobby right now is working on her product line, she also loves real estate, home décor and vacationing.
